What’s All This About Then?

I’m a stay at home Mummy to 3 children aged 4, 5 & 7. My children are very active and are the reason I get up every morning (I’m not joking, they wake me every morning, even when I’m not ready to be woken!!!) ….  I love them and I am dedicated to being their Mummy, but I’m also on a quest to be myself. To identify as Me, and not ‘Mummy’.

This blog is my ramblings of how I’m feeling and what I’m doing during my first ever solid commitment to changing my life, for the better. I tend to over volunteer – over share – and get over emotional!! I love to read, write, and check my social media feed multiple times a day. Oh, and I love coffee….and wine.

My weight loss journey is a constant struggle to gain balance and clarity, but fitness is my focus.

I have a passion for helping people and find great joy in giving back. If I was a millionaire, I’d be a philanthropist. For now, I’ll just keep depositing into the karma bank of life.

I’m also studying at university… Second year  – Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) — Lock up your kids, I’m coming!

  1. Hi Gen, I completely understand with your statement “I’m also on a quest to find myself. To identify as Me, and not Mummy” That is the exact reason I started my exchange and the fund raising. I need to know I was still Jess. I will be checking back here, reading, watching and encouraging you on your “journey” (as all good reality TV shows say).
Well done with your achievements so far… and keep kicking ass.

  2. I’ve just discovered your blog and reading back through your first posts it is exactly where I am right now. I am finding so many inspirational women through these blogs and I will be following your blog from now on and using it as motivation for what I want to achieve. I have just started a blog as well and maybe in a year I can be the inspiration for somebody else. Best of luck on your continued journey. BTW my blog is http://itisworthwatching.wordpress.com/ if you wanted to check it out.
